"This is a story that is often untold, and overlooked. A raw adventure of fighting the elements of illness, as a young wife and mother by seeking Jesus first. Start from the beginning, and see how the Lord can take a very broken and ill individual and bring about a truly unique LIFE and LOVE story." - BRYNN (& Jeremey and Tatum).

31 weeks - stats and update!

Today I am 31 weeks pregnant, and I thought it was time to do another stats and recent happenings update. The reality of this pregnancy is all beginning to set in ... like REALLY. Somewhere within in the next 9 weeks, our routine, comfortability and single "childness" will be coming to an end as we begin to learn a new way of living with a family of 4. Visions of our little man coming home, and being a part of this crazy little family of 3 is a bit overwhelming and wildly exciting. But we are NOT ignorant to the fact that it will be very difficult, and that switching from 1 to 2 children is quite the brain warp. We are trusting the Lord in these anxious times, and constantly trying to remember what a blessing and honor it is that the Lord really sees that we are fit to have 2 children. Really Lord, us??? Jeremey and I are thrilled, and have so much anticipation.  I honestly cannot wait to see what River looks like, will he be a spitting image of Tatum, or will he look more like me? How will Tatum react? and how will my husband be with a SON? It is always so exhilerating being on the very edge of a huge life change ...

The Stats/info - Found this little pregnancy question list online, and thought I would give it a go.

How far along: 31 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 10 pounds on the dot
Maternity clothes: (Can't stand them) and never have enough to last me very long without laundry becoming my worst enemy. Basically I just stay in yoga pants and t shirts, till I am forced to look decent in front of other humans besides my family.
Stretch marks: None yet. I have been very fortunate with both pregnancies in this area, but there is still time right?
Sleep: I am an insomniac is my normal life, but taking that into consideration, my sleep hasn't been too bad yet. I think it was worse with Tatum. I wake up with River every morning at 3, and we spend time together while he dances in the womb to who knows what song.
Best moment this week:  Superbowl with friends and many many kids. I didn't feel horrible, and the food and company were great. I tend to do bad in crowds with my vertigo/pregnancy symptoms combined, but this day was an exception!
Worst moment of the week: Collapsing and vomiting in front of a whole waiting room of people while attempting my 3 hour glucose test. Realizing that there is a good chance I might have gestational diabetes.
Food cravings: Everything sugar, because I am suppose to stay away from sugar till I find out about the GD.
Gender:  Still a boy
Belly button in or out?  Out,  it never stays in for long.
Movement:  Constant pokes and jabs. Active boy.
What I miss:  I miss being able to pick Tatum up in my arms without feeling like I'm going to go into preterm labor.
What I'm looking forward to:  Looking forward to getting some much needed things for the boy. We haven't done much of anything to prepare, and I feel quite behind. Excited to get this show on the road and start filling our house for his homecoming.
Milestones:  Tatum has been rocking the potty training this week. I haven't been the most faithful person in this area the last month, with all the crazy flu, and sickness that ran through our house, and with my body progressively getting slower and slower. But this week, she wanted to do it all on her own. She started off with going #1 in the potty a few nights in a row, and being afraid to do #2, but then it all of a sudden clicked, and she started just going to her potty on her own, in her own time to go #2.  I am so so proud! It's still a work in progress, but progress is progress right?

9 weeks to go!
