"This is a story that is often untold, and overlooked. A raw adventure of fighting the elements of illness, as a young wife and mother by seeking Jesus first. Start from the beginning, and see how the Lord can take a very broken and ill individual and bring about a truly unique LIFE and LOVE story." - BRYNN (& Jeremey and Tatum).

Please be praying for the Yim family!

For my friends and family, and blog readers who do not live down here in California ... I wanted to write a quick blog post about a family friend of ours from here at the bible college. Brent Yim, is a dear friend to us. He was once a teacher here on the campus back when I was a student, and as of the last few years he has been pastoring a church here in Temecula, alongside his beautiful wife Andrea and their two young sons Jaiden and Micah. A little over a year ago Brent was diagnosed with brain cancer and has been battling the illness with incredible strength from the Lord ever since. Just in the last few weeks his symptoms have taken a turn, and is in need of as much prayer as he can possibly get. We know that the Lord knows and controls all things, and we have already seen much fruit and growth in the community around us from the trails that the Yim family have undergone. They are a testimony to ALL of us as to what it looks like to trust the Lord and to not lose faith in the most trying of times. Please be praying for a miraculous healing, as we are informed that the tumor is inoperable, and still growing. Whatever the Lord chooses to do, we pray that their family would have peace, and that the Lord would be glorified.

From my own personal encounters/stories with Brent, I have seen that he is a true man of God, full of a great desire to know and teach the word, and a prayer worrier. Back in 2006 when I was at my very sickest and attending a sunday night chapel that he was teaching at. I very specifically remember nearly passing out in my wheelchair from extreme pain and dizziness. One of my roommates rushed up to the stage and asked Brent for help. Within seconds he had the entire student body surrounding and praying for me. And more recently, just after Brent first found out that he had a brain tumor. I happened to run into him while in the hospital parking lot. Much to my surprise he rushed up to the car, and told me "Brynn, when I was going through all my dizziness and vertigo when I first found out about the tumor, I just kept thinking of you, and praying for you, and wondering how you deal with that dizziness everyday." What a selfless man to care one iota about me, and be praying for me, when he was dealing with so much. Brent you have enriched my life, and SO many others. As for Andrea, there are too many wonderful things to say about her. In the midst of one of the hardest trials she will probably endure, she still stops and asks how I am feeling. WHAT??? She still approaches life with such energy, and fun, and love, and is truly one of the sweetest and most beautiful women I know!

A few months back, my husband put together this quick video for the Yim family. It has more information, and gives a better idea of who Brent and Andrea are, and what type of treatments Brent has undergone. Please check it out!
