"This is a story that is often untold, and overlooked. A raw adventure of fighting the elements of illness, as a young wife and mother by seeking Jesus first. Start from the beginning, and see how the Lord can take a very broken and ill individual and bring about a truly unique LIFE and LOVE story." - BRYNN (& Jeremey and Tatum).

And his name shall be ...

River James Wilson ...

There you go folks, it's officially ... official. For those wondering about the reasoning behind the name, or how it came to be, keep on reading ...

(Picture taken right outside my grandparents house.)

(21 week ultrasound)

- It was actually pretty simple. We liked LOVED the name. We loved it before we had kids, we loved it before we found out Tatum was going to be a girl, and we love it now.

- It fits with the name Tatum. We couldn't have a unique girl name and a traditional boy name. In our opinion that would just be strange.

- We love the nickname Riv! It's already what he goes by in our household.

- I've always had a special love for rivers (the body of water) since I was just little. My stepdad is a white water rafting guide, so I in turn have grown up on the river my whole life. There is nothing more peaceful in my opinion.

- It's fun. Haha, silly reason I know, and some of you may disagree, but I think names with unique letters, like the letter "v" add a special something to a name.

- Why James??? Well, James is both mine and Jeremey's favorite book of the bible. It's a good solid masculine name. It can be used as his first name if he decides he doesn't like his. His initials are R.J, matching Tatums T.J. And quite simply it flows very well with River and Wilson.

- QUESTIONS???

Don't you think it's a little hippyish??? Yes, and no. Either way, I'm from Oregon, I can be as hippy as I want right?

River, as in River Phoenix??? No, not named after the famous childhood actor River Phoenix. THOUGH, my favorite movie growing up was Stand By Me, and I really do think River Phoenix is one of the best actors of his time!

Why did it take you so long to tell everyone the name??? Well, I truly just wanted to make sure it was a boy first. You never know what might happen with ultrasounds.

Are you going to have more kids after this one??? :) We would love to. Both Jeremey and I want a big family. We really just have to wait and see what the Lord wants for us, how my health pans out after I'm done being pregnant, what chasing two kids is like, and a million other reasons. We are just so thrilled and blessed to have almost 2 children. The Lord has been so faithful to us and has truly overflowed our cups with Joy!
